The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.
The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful. The leather has developed a honey patina with a few marks. There are some scuffs and damage to the piping on the base corners. The gold-tone hardware has surface scratches and a little gold tone colour has away. The interior lining has some marks, but is otherwise clean and still in good condition.
